Hoopla session at Tony Hawk’s Ramp: Some of the hoopla team met up to skate Tony Hawk’s private ramp a couple of weeks ago. Allysha Bergado, Cb Burnside, Alana Smith and Mimi Knoop were in attendance. Filmed by Ben Wilson and Tylre Wilcox.

The Summer is on its way and its less than 3 months now until the Girls European Skate Camp. To mark the occasion, a new poster has been released featuring Norweigian ripper Kristina Westad. She’ll be on camp for the entire week offering tips and having fun.

We can also tell you that there are some fun evening non-skate activities being planned too. We’re hearing talk about kareoke or dance star, a movie night (with Jenna Selby), jewellery making (with Nat from Thrashion) and a special discounted shop!! Throw in the usual pizza night, fish and chips, product give-aways and guest appearances – and its shaping up to be one awesome week!

At the end of February, the All Chicks Skate Jam went down at the House of Vans in Brooklyn, New York City. Hosted by the likes of Mimi Knoop, the event was a great success with girls coming from near and far to take part and skate. All the girls were hooked up with goodies from Vans and Hoopla and a great time was had by all. Please head over to Mimi’s blog to see loads of great pictures from the event.

Back in February, Hoopla rider and owner Mimi Knoop was asked to skate in a commercial for Method Soap up in Oakland, California. According to Mimi “the set was trippy and cool - in fact it seemed like something straight out of Alice and Wonderland”. (via Mimi Knoop in Method Soap Commercial)

Alana Smith joins Hoopla Skateboards team: 11 year old Alana Smith from Mesa, Arizona has already been skating 3 and a half years and you can find her regularly down KTR and Clairmont Skatepark throwing down Trey Flips on 5 stairs and Method Backside Air on Vert. This kind of talent has seen her land a place on the Hoopla Skateboards team and below you can check out some footage from last Summer, along with her portrait picture. Congratulations Alana.

Girls European Skate Camp - Summer 2012

A week long residential skate camp just for girls is happening this Summer from Monday 30th July to Friday 3rd August. Open to girls of all ages and abilities – you will get to visit some of the best UK outdoor and indoor skateparks, and learn from professional riders like Evelien Bouilliart, Kristina Westad and Emma Richardson.
